Privacy policy

This page explains what happens to data when you visit GramChef. It is written to be read, not to be impressive.

What we collect ourselves

Nothing that identifies you. GramChef is a static site: there are no accounts, no logins, no comment forms, and no database of visitors. The conversion calculators run entirely in your browser, and the numbers you type are never sent anywhere.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages are visited. It is cookieless and does not build a profile of you across sites or sessions; it records aggregate page views rather than individuals.

Advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This is the main way personal data is processed in connection with GramChef, and it is done by Google rather than by us.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, Google's certified consent management platform will ask for your choices before personalised advertising cookies are set, and you can change those choices at any time through the same prompt.

You can opt out of personalised advertising for Google's services at Google Ads Settings, and from many other vendors at aboutads.info. Details of how Google handles data are in Google's own policy.

Affiliate links

Some pages link to kitchen equipment on Amazon. GramChef is a participant in the Amazon Associates programme and earns a commission on qualifying purchases, at no additional cost to you. Following one of these links takes you to Amazon, where Amazon's own privacy policy and cookies apply. We are not told who bought what โ€” only that a purchase occurred.

Hosting and logs

The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard server request data such as IP address and user agent in order to deliver pages and protect the service against abuse. This is ordinary web-server logging, and we do not use it to identify individuals.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Because we do not hold accounts or an identifiable visitor database, in most cases the data in question sits with Google rather than with us, and Google's tools are the fastest route.

For anything we can act on directly, or to raise a concern, contact us at hello@gramchef.com. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority โ€” in Denmark, Datatilsynet.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will appear here. Continued use of the site after a change means the current version applies.
